Terms of Service

Last updated: November 2, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

Learnfold is provided by Chirag Aggarwal, an individual developer (sole proprietor), referred to as "we" or "us" in these terms.

By downloading, installing, or using Learnfold ("the app"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. Description of Service

Learnfold is a native learning workspace that helps you create and study personal courses from topics and source material. Course planning, lesson generation, and questions may use Apple Private Cloud Compute or a learning-agent service that you choose and configure.

3. Requirements

  • Learnfold is a general-audience learning app. If you are a minor where you live, use it with a parent or guardian's permission and supervision. Connected services may have their own age and consent requirements.
  • You are responsible for any third-party model, learning-agent, or network charges associated with services you configure.
  • You must have the right to import and use any documents, images, links, or other source material you provide.

3A. Subscriptions

Some features require a paid auto-renewing subscription purchased in the App Store:

  • Learnfold Plus (US$1 per month) covers Apple's models on supported devices and using your own AI service, such as Codex, Hermes, or your own API key.
  • Learnfold Cloud (US$5 per month) covers Learnfold's Hosted agent and includes everything in Plus.
  • Learnfold Studio (US$19.99 per month) adds Build in motion and includes everything in Cloud.

AI features require Plus, Cloud, or Studio. Apple's Private Cloud Compute agent is included in every plan on supported devices. The practice course and saved lessons remain readable without a subscription. US prices are listed above; the price and billing period in your local currency are shown in the app before you subscribe.

  • Billing: payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
  • Auto-renewal: a subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the period.
  • Managing and cancelling: manage or cancel in the Settings app under your name, then Subscriptions, or from Settings > Plan in Learnfold. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Cancelling stops future renewals, and you keep access until the end of the paid period.
  • Plans: Plus, Cloud, and Studio are in one subscription group, so you can upgrade or downgrade. Apple determines when a change takes effect and how any price difference is handled.
  • Refunds: payments and refunds are handled by Apple, not by us. To request a refund, use reportaproblem.apple.com or contact Apple Support. If Apple refunds or revokes a purchase, access to the paid features ends.
  • Fair use: Hosted has daily usage limits to keep the service available for everyone. A subscription is for your own use and can be used on a limited number of devices.
  • Price changes: if the price changes, Apple will notify you and, where required, ask for your consent before you are charged the new price.

Questions about a subscription: support@learnfold.app.

3B. Website Mac Purchases

The Mac app downloaded from this website uses a separate one-time license priced at US$19. It unlocks use of Codex or your own API key; charges from those providers are separate. The license does not include Learnfold-hosted AI.

Learnfold AI is an optional US$20/month subscription for website Mac customers who have a Mac license. It includes the cloud tutor, narrated explainers, and voice tutor, subject to usage limits. It renews monthly until canceled. The final price, any applicable taxes, and renewal terms are displayed at checkout before payment.

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all website orders: it runs checkout, charges any applicable sales tax or VAT, and handles billing, receipts, and refunds. The Paddle buyer terms also apply to website purchases. RevenueCat manages purchase activation and access in the app. Manage or cancel website AI subscriptions using the link in your Paddle receipt email. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Canceling stops future renewals; AI access continues for the remaining paid period. Your one-time Mac license and saved lessons remain available when the AI subscription ends.

Refunds for website purchases follow our refund policy: a full refund within 14 days of buying the Mac license or of your first Learnfold AI payment. For website billing, activation, or refund requests, contact support@learnfold.app. These terms do not limit rights provided by applicable consumer law. App Store purchases remain subject to the App Store subscription terms above.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the app or a connected service without authorization.
  • Use the app to violate the rights of others.
  • Use the app for any unlawful purpose.

5. Intellectual Property

8. Your Content

Your source material, course content, questions, and learning projects remain yours. You are responsible for reviewing generated material before relying on it.

9. Third-Party Services

Your use of those services is governed by their respective terms. We are not responsible for third-party services.

10. Termination

You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to services we operate at our discretion.

11. Changes to Terms

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law, without regard to conflict of law principles.
